Its long been my favorite anime convention but the ongoing threat of the COVID-19 pandemic and the frightening rise of the delta variant in the United States made me anxious about attending an event that regularly brings close to 30000 people into a single indoor venue. Otakon is held in the 23 million-square-foot Walter E.

Otakon is a premier anime convention in the region.

Otakon 2022 Map. 2021 was the first year where I questioned whether going to Otakon was a good idea. This national event is set to start on 25 February 2022 Friday in Las Vegas NV United States and organized by LVL UP. As one of the countrys most accessible cities Washington is surrounded by three major airports Amtrak and a first-rate subway system Metro.
